UPDATE 4.7 Hero & Item Balance Changes

 Vainglory Update 4.7 brings some special tweaks by way of hero, item and talents changes for you. We’ve  also included some notes to explain the idea behind some of the changes. Check out the balance changes coming for Update 4.7 below and get ready for battle!

 


HEROES


 

BAPTISTE

BAD MOJO (A)

  • Projectile Speed
    • 14.0 → 17.0
  • Range is now increased from 7 → 8 on Overdrive

Even with the hotfix, the Demon Queen is still proving to be too powerful for other heroes to handle. We’re hitting some of her solo damage as well as decreasing the power spike that she gains when she has four Living Blades out.

These changes focus on improving Koshka’s skirmish hit-and-run playstyle and make it easier for her to jump into a group of enemies without taking too much damage.

Leo’s still proving to be a menace. We’re reverting his base stats back to bruiser territory while also lowering the damage on his Lion’s Might – Jet Cyclone so now he has to choose between high crowd control or damage.

A big limiting factor for Phinn is running out of energy in team fights. We’re lowering the cost of his abilities as well as boosting his base energy so that he won’t feel as pressured to build energy items early on.

The movement speed increase to heroes has not been kind to Reim. We’re speeding up the travel time of his Winter Spire as well as a few small buffs to make him a more competitive pick.

Warhawk’s long range basic attack and relative safety has made him incredibly powerful in the laning phase. We’re lowering his unavoidable damage as well as making his abilities be less available to trigger his perk.

ITEMS


Spellfire has become too integral to any end game mage build since it offers so much damage, and the mortal wounds become an afterthought. We’re trying to push it back towards being a situational pick if you need to counter healing as opposed to a ‘must-buy’.

TALENTS


Miho’s Shunpo talent offers far too much mobility for the amount of damage that it deals. We’re decreasing the damage even when the talent is maxed as the trade off.
